( hope you had a great time at the game on Saturday night, even though the result didn’t go your way. We have had a great rivalry over recent years with the close margins and Grand Finals. But I think it is safe to say that West Coast have proven Victorious and retire this modern day rivalry as the clear champions – Winning 5 out the last 7 and finally a winning margain of more than 4 points(Even the margin of 12points flattered the Swans a bit I thought). I’m sure there will still be more great battles ahead.)

The best excuse I can come up with is that they were lucky. They had 2 WA umps on your side plus we were without (Hall, Kennelly, LRT, Buchannon) plus we lost Leo Barry at qrt time.

Anyone out there can give me some amo to fire back at these mongrels,

Best reply surely is that the better team on the night won - their home game and very close to full strength. Our team was not at full strength and lost a key player halfway through the game.

They're a good team. We're a good team (sometimes).

Im feeling for you Perth Swannie.... I had a lecture today from my work mates about how Ben Cousins was a champion and how Sydney were @@@@ etc etc.... Must say I got more than a little fired up. As I said to them.....I have every faith there will be more to this....and the mighty Swannies arent done with yet in 07.

The Eagles got back 5 premiership players this week, whereas we were without Premiership players Hall, Buchanan, Kennelly and Roberts-Thomson, Barry went down early with an injury and Ablett played with the flu. Under those circumstances, to lose by 12 points on the Eagles' home ground proves nothing. The Swans lost by more than that at Subiaco in 2005 and look what happened in the Grand Final that year. At least the Swans didn't have to tank a season to get star players like the Eagles did in 2000 (Judd).

But when the Swans next win by a big margin, be sure to keep all of those gloating emails from the Eagles fans.

Oh ... and for those that emailed you this week but not after the 2005 Grand Final, ask them why they only send email when they win?

I saw you on the telcast mate. You were waving a white Swans flag from memory.

The best comeback is to be humble classy & take things on the chin. Say the Eagles were the better team and win in the end. Give them the reasons why you felt they won. Say things from a Swans perspective (ie we fell away in the 3rd quarter because of A) our defence being under the pump due to Barry being out etc.

Then ask them whether they were packing it as we came back in the last quarter.

The best thing is to smile and take things on the chin. And admit that the better team won on the day........ AND secretly yearn to give them @@@@ for when we next beat them.

I have a Freo friend who wears a red & white shirt every time the Swans beat West Coast. It drives them nuts I'm told!

I saw you on the telcast mate. You were waving a white Swans flag from memory.

Yeh a few people have told me that. I was in the same spot behind the goals as we were at TS round 1. The feeling was electrifying in that last qrt. I screamed myself horse. I was reminding people around me about the round 1 comeback 3 goals in the last 5 mins and I really thought it was going to happen. Oh well.

I teamed up with a few people walking away from the ground and we got the Swannies chant going with the flag waving behind us and you should of seen the look of surprise on the Weagle fans faces. A couple of them came up and seriously asked us wether we knew we lost? " Nah we didn`t ",I joked , "we beat you by 12 points". Hillarious!!

Jeez they are a serious mob of punces.
